CePIM SpA, in its capacity of co-ordinator for the development of the Parma freight village, decided to play an active role in all promotional, dissemination and awareness-building activities dealing with issues connected to environmentally friendly mobility and intermodality addressing institutional and entrepreneurial circles both in Italy and in Europe.
Consequently, it has endorsed the programmes of two professional associations co-ordinating projects, activities, studies and research on issues related to intermodality and the development of logistic networks involving logistic structures.
UIR
Unione Interporti Riuniti (United Freight villages) is the association of Italian freight villages. Its objectives include promoting and developing intermodal freight transport and establishing stable relations among logistic centres.
UIR currently includes the freight villages of Bari, Bologna, Catania, Cervignano del Friuli, Civitavecchia, Frosinone, Jesi, Marcianise, Orte, Padua, Parma, Pescara, Prato, Rivalta Scrivia, Rovigo, Venice, Verona.
“The establishment of UIR was the necessary precondition for a common policy aimed at strengthening the large freight villages of Northern Italy with a view to operational and functional collaboration with the freight villages of Central and Southern Italy, so as to form a network to the benefit of the development of the national economy”.

Europlatforms is a European Economic Interest Grouping – EEIG
The association includes over sixty European freight villages and logistic centres. For almost twenty years it has supported the development of intermodality and international freight networks and promoted awareness-building policies addressing the European Parliament and Commission, aimed at enlarging the infrastructural network and encouraging integrated freight transport
