The CePIM freight village system is a resource with a constantly changing strategic and operational profile. Its sky-line is modified by the constant strengthening and updating of activities following the changes taking place in international markets.
The Parma freight village provides not only a rational solution for the problems related to the organisation of spaces within a production territory – contributing to clear traffic on the local road network – but also a systemic approach to the need for reorganising and consolidating the infrastructural network connecting port hubs, production centres and intermodal hubs.

To maintain and develop this vocation, CePIM generates, promotes and participates in planning initiatives – in line with the EU guidelines – to enhance intermodality as a smart freight distribution system by sponsoring new traffic routes along international corridors (trans-European networks) and focussing on the development of railways as the most environmentally friendly modality
