Inlog

Industrial Logistics was funded in 2006 by the Parma freight village authority in collaboration with other six Italian freight villages – Bologna, Padua, Verona, Jesi, Rivalta Scrivia and Livorno – to promote the design and implementation of complex compounds of logistic structures and services aimed at the transport and exchange of goods outside the territory of Italy.

More specifically, the objectives of Inlog also include the development of an Italian district in Tianjin, one of the most important industrial and logistic areas in northern China, 140 kilometres away from Beijing, of which it is the natural port. Moreover, the city currently conveys traffic for  8.5 million TEUs (2008), mainly destined to the European markets, records a 12.5% annual average GDP and investments and infrastructures worth 5000 billion Euros. It will host a logistic infrastructure system designed according to the highest standards in terms of quality, efficiency and environmental sustainability.

The mission of the company envisages three key points aimed at developing effective strategies:
• Providing Italian small and medium enterprises with the opportunity to manufacture and distribute their products in the territory of China; facilitate the access to the Chinese market for other Italian enterprises;
• Supplying logistic services according to the standards of Italian freight villages;
• Giving Chinese enterprises the opportunity to use Italian freight villages to distribute their products inside and outside the European territory.
The overall project focuses on Italian enterprises willing to manufacture and distribute their products in the territory of China by resorting to logistic infrastructures ensuring the standards of Italian freight villages as well as on Chinese enterprises that will have the opportunity to use Italian freight villages to distribute their products inside and outside the European territory
At the same time, similar initiatives will be developed in collaboration with Simest (Italian Company for Enterprises based abroad) and Ice (Italian Institute for Foreign Trade) and the relevant ministries in other international areas characterised by fast-developing GDP.
